Kano: A PDP candidate for governor submits paperwork and promises to address growing concerns about illegal drugs.

Muhammad Bello Dalha, a candidate for governor on the Peoples Democratic Party platform, has formally submitted his nomination form and pledged to address the rising threat of drug abuse and youth violence in Kano State should he be elected.
Speaking during the submission of his nomination form for governor, Dalha stated that his aspirations were driven by a sincere desire to enhance the quality of life for common people and offer the state meaningful leadership.
Concerned about the rising prevalence of drug abuse and “fadan daba” among young people, he described the situation as a grave danger to families and communities throughout Kano State.
“We need to address the growing issue of fadan daba and illegal drug abuse.” Lives, families, and communities are being destroyed by these challenges,” he stated.
In order to give young people opportunities, rehabilitation, awareness campaigns, and guidance, Dalha promised his administration would work with parents, religious and traditional leaders, community stakeholders, and security agencies.
The candidate also described plans to give women’s and children’s welfare top priority, including better healthcare services, assistance for families in need, increased educational opportunities, and initiatives to empower mothers, widows, and young girls.
Regarding youth development, he pledged significant funding for ICT, entrepreneurship, agriculture, vocational training, and innovation-driven projects meant to lower unemployment and give young people hope again.
“Many of our young people lack opportunities despite being talented, vivacious, and full of potential. We want to give them cutting-edge, useful skills that will enhance their future and generate employment,” he said.
In order to guarantee safer communities and peaceful coexistence, Dalha further reassured the populace that security would continue to be a top priority under his administration, pointing out that more support would be provided to security agencies and community-based leadership structures.
Additionally, he promised to support traders, craftspeople, business owners, and entrepreneurs by enacting laws that would make it easier for companies to prosper.
The PDP candidate addressed civil servants, promising better welfare packages, training opportunities, better working conditions, and timely salary payments to inspire the workforce.
“This goal has nothing to do with individual ambition.” It is about service, responsibility, and the future of Kano State,” Dalha continued, urging cooperation and teamwork in the pursuit of a prosperous and peaceful state.
Before Kano State’s next election cycle, Muhammad Bello Dalha is running for the People’s Democratic Party’s governorship.
