Champz, the son of Wizkid, received praise for his confidence at a TEDx talk.

Boluwatife Balogun, also known as Champz, is the first son of pop star Wizkid. A video of his school presentation, which showed him giving a calm and well-spoken speech at a TEDx event held at TEDxGrange School, Lagos, has generated new responses on the internet.
The school organized a student-led TEDx program in honor of Children’s Day, which included the event with the theme “The Edge of Possible.” It brought together young speakers to discuss personal development, resilience, creativity, and self-assurance.
Boluwatife is seen speaking calmly and confidently in front of a student audience while reflecting on fear, tenacity, and self-belief in the now-viral video that was posted on his Instagram page. Online attention was immediately drawn to his delivery, not only because of the message’s content but also because of his poise and stage presence for his age.
What is not possible? When something has never been accomplished before, we refer to it as impossible. God is with me at all times. He said, “Before I came up here, I was praying to God, please give me the confidence to overcome the nervousness I am facing.”
“I am going to make the impossible possible,” he went on. Who are you to say that I won’t be successful? Don’t expect all of your dreams to come true all at once; Rome wasn’t built in a day. Because things in life don’t always go as planned, you have to be prepared to accept losses. Additionally, you make plans for how to bounce back from setbacks and return stronger.
Many people have praised the video since it started making the rounds on social media, praising his stage presence, confidence, and clarity of thought. Some also emphasized the principles he conveyed, attributing his poise to his upbringing and network of support.
The incident has increased public interest in the young Balogun, whose sporadic online appearances continue to garner attention even though his father, musician Wizkid, keeps his family life mostly private.
Boluwatife’s first EP, “Champion’s Arrival,” was released in November 2025, marking the start of his musical career.
With the release of “No Worries” on May 1, 2026, he further broadened his repertoire and established himself as a promising young artist.
Similar to the children of the late Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, who have carried on aspects of their father’s musical influence, Champz’s increasing prominence is starting to resemble well-known narratives of legacy in Nigerian music history, according to many observers.
