Martinez helps Villa win the Europa League after breaking his finger.

Emiliano Martínez, the goalkeeper for Aston Villa, disclosed that he broke his finger during the warm-up prior to his team’s victory over Freiburg in the Europa League final.
The Argentine had to be examined by a physiotherapist after sustaining the injury just before kickoff in Istanbul.
However, he was able to play the whole game on Wednesday as Villa won 3-0 and won their first European trophy in forty-four years.
The 33-year-old made two saves despite having little to do as Villa’s 30-year trophy drought was ended by goals from Youri Tielemans, Emi Buendía, and Morgan Rogers.
“I broke my finger today during the warm-up, and for me, every bad thing brings something good,” he stated. I have spent my entire life doing this, and I will continue to do so.

Do I need to worry? To be honest, I’ve never had a broken finger. The ball always went the other way after I caught it. But you have to go through these things, and I’m honored to stand up for Aston Villa.”
Martinez continued to participate in the post-match festivities despite his injury, jumping into the Villa supporters’ midst and raising manager Unai Emery into the air.
With their World Cup squad scheduled to be revealed prior to the competition in the USA, Canada, and Mexico next month, Argentina will be hoping that Martinez’s injury is not too serious.
Throughout his career, the former Arsenal custodian has now won every final he has participated in, including the FA Cup, the World Cup, two Copa Americas, and now the Europa League. His remarkable track record highlights his ability to perform under pressure, a quality that will be crucial as he prepares for the upcoming tournament. As fans eagerly anticipate the squad announcement, the team’s overall health and readiness will play a significant role in their quest for glory. Coaches and analysts are closely monitoring player fitness levels, knowing that key injuries could derail their championship hopes. With a blend of seasoned veterans and promising newcomers, the team’s chemistry will also be essential to their success on the international stage.
