Champion League Triumph, Como And Cesc Fabricas Celebrating With Open-Top Bus

After qualifying for the Champions League for the first time, Como and coach Cesc Fabregas are enjoying an open-top bus parade through the city’s streets.
They were two points behind Milan and Roma and tied for sixth place with Juventus going into the season’s final round.
But with their 4-1 victory over Cremonese on the road and Milan’s concurrent 2-1 loss to Cagliari at home, things turned around and they took fourth place.
Significant Success for Como
Two years ago, the Lariani were in Serie B and had never made it to the Champions League, much less European football.
They are posting videos from the event on their social media platforms and departed from the Stadio Sinigaglia to salute the crowds in an open-top bus parade.
There was much to celebrate this season, as the team advanced to the Coppa Italia semi-final for the first time in its history before falling to Inter, the eventual trophy winners.
They scored 65 goals and gave up 29 while recording 20 wins, 11 draws, and seven losses.
With 89 goals this season, only title winners Inter were able to score more goals.
Their supporters are excited to welcome the greatest players to the Stadio Sinigaglia as they compete in the largest club competition in world football next season.
