The organization helps children avoid the hardships of life on the streets by transforming talent into opportunity and offering food, shelter, healthcare, education, and hope for a better future.
Shakira can be seen in the video standing atop Mexico City’s Angel de la Independencia, a famous landmark on Reforma Avenue. With special thanks to Ciudad de México Corazón Grande, the capital’s tourism campaign, for helping to bring this moment to life, it serves as a visual tribute to a nation that has played a significant role throughout her career.
On Sunday, July 19, Shakira, Madonna, and BTS will co-headline the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Halftime Show. She and Burna Boy will perform Dai Dai. The final will have a halftime show for the first time in FIFA World Cup history, bringing together international artists for a unique occasion at the nexus of sport, culture, and purpose in support of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.
“Dai Dai” will be the official anthem of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to raise $100 million by the FIFA World Cup 2026 final to give children in underprivileged communities around the world access to high-quality education and sports, as was announced last week at Global Citizen NOW in New York. The Education Fund will receive Shakira’s “Dai Dai” royalties, and Sony Music will match the first $250,000 donated. Additionally, Shakira is contributing $1 to the Education Fund with each ticket sold for her upcoming “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran” tour.
Fans will have a unique opportunity to witness Shakira’s electrifying production up close in more intimate arena settings this summer as she embarks on a limited run of U.S. dates on her record-breaking Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour. More than half a million tickets have already been sold for Shakira’s 11-night stadium European residency in Madrid in October. A stadium called Shakira Stadium has been constructed specifically for her….
At this year’s Todo Mundo No Rio concert at Copacabana Beach in early May, Shakira enthralled an audience of over two million people. “Hips Don’t Lie,” “La Tortura,” and “La Bicicleta” were among Shakira’s greatest hits from her entire career, and she spoke Portuguese to the audience during her triumphant return to Brazil, the country where she first started her international touring career. “O Leãozinho” with Caetano Veloso, “O Que É, O Que É” with Maria Bethânia and Unidos da Tijuca, “Waka Waka” with dance group Mare Dance, “Objection” with Unidos da Tijuca, and “Paň Tropical” with Ivete Sangalo were among the special guests Shakira invited to her historic show to honor Brazil. Anitta was among them.
Additionally, Shakira’s recent Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, which included 82 stadium performances across the US and Latin America with over 3.3 million attendees, earned her the title of “highest-grossing Hispanic tour of all time” by Billboard this year.
In a career that continues to connect music, sports, and culture on an unprecedented scale,
Burna Boy views the partnership as another pivotal global moment. Burna Boy, widely regarded as one of the most significant African musicians of his generation, has come to represent international musical fusion, stadium-level performances, and the growth of African music and culture.
Burna Boy continues to redefine what top-tier African artistry looks like by performing at the NBA All-Star Game, headlining arenas and stadiums all over the world, and forming significant alliances at the nexus of music and sport. As he continues to solidify his status as one of the top live performers and cultural voices in the world, Burna Boy is currently on a lengthy international tour.
