I Won’t Stay Beyond Four Years -Peter Obi

Peter Obi, a former presidential candidate for the Labour Party, has stated that if elected, he would only hold office for a single four-year term, “even with a gun to my head.”
The statement was made by Obi in a segment of an interview that will be broadcast on News Central TV on Thursday.
“Stability is the reason I want to serve one term as president. He declared, “I would not stay a day, with a gun to my head, longer than four years,” in the widely shared video.
Nigeria has entered one of its most challenging economic times, according to the former governor of Anambra State, who also criticized the current administration’s economic policies, including borrowing and the growing cost of living.
Obi ran on the Labour Party platform in the 2023 presidential election, finishing third behind former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress.
Obi has continued to be a prominent opposition figure since the election, regularly criticizing the economic reforms implemented by the Tinubu administration.
