Online reactions have been triggered by Nollywood actor Yul Edochie’s statement that men who forgive their cheating partners are weak.
The movie star made the comments during a recent appearance on The Honest Bunch podcast, where he talked in-depth about infidelity, loyalty, and relationships.
The 44-year-old contends that women who cheat in relationships frequently lose their emotional attachment to their partners, and that infidelity has different effects on men and women.

Edochie implied that the woman’s emotional allegiance had shifted away from her husband, citing a recent viral controversy involving an alleged affair between a married woman and a younger man.
“I don’t want to name names, but consider the recent controversy surrounding a young man’s alleged extramarital affair with a married woman. The husband was complaining to his wife in an attempt to keep their marriage intact, while the wife was attempting to shield the young man. That’s because she genuinely loves the young man,” he remarked.
According to Edochie, men shouldn’t put up with infidelity in relationships because it shows weakness to forgive.
