Kano will improve cooperation on education with FG and partners.

In order to improve education throughout the state, the Kano State Government has reiterated its commitment to enhancing cooperation with the federal government and development partners.
This was said by Governor Abba Yusuf on Friday during a courtesy visit to the Government House in Kano with Professor Suwaiba Ahmed, the Minister of State for Education.
Mustapha Muhammad, the governor’s chief press secretary, made this announcement on Saturday.
According to Yusuf, the state government will keep funding programs that increase access to high-quality education and develop educational facilities.
The governor declared, “We will continue to work together and support every initiative aimed at developing education in Kano State.”
He characterized the Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment project as a significant intervention that strengthens education by supporting teachers and developing infrastructure. This initiative not only targets the academic needs of young girls but also emphasizes the importance of community involvement in fostering a supportive learning environment. By equipping educators with the necessary resources and training, the governor aims to create a sustainable model for educational excellence that can serve as a blueprint for other regions.
The minister had earlier told the governor that Kano State had received “No Objection” approval from the World Bank to build 49 new schools under the N23 billion AGILE project.
She revealed that the contractors in charge of the projects had already been sent to the locations.
According to Ahmed, the project would greatly increase underprivileged communities’ access to education throughout the state.
Additionally, the minister praised the Kano State Government for the high caliber of projects carried out in the state’s schools.
She urged the AGILE project implementation team to follow the state government’s standard, citing one of the schools she had visited. The minister emphasized the importance of maintaining quality and sustainability in these educational initiatives. She expressed her hope that these efforts would inspire similar projects in other regions, ultimately bridging the educational gap across the country.
