Godswill Akpabio, the president of the Senate, stated that the only people who wouldn’t notice his good deeds in the capital city are the opponents of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike.
As governor of Rivers State, the minister performed miracles, according to Akpabio, who said it’s difficult to compare Wike’s past record with his current accomplishment.
The senator gave a speech at the interchange’s commissioning at the Arterial Road N16–Ring Road III intersection, which connects the FCT’s Jahi District and Gwarimpa District.
One of the projects designated for commissioning to commemorate President Bola Tinubu’s third year in office is this one.
Akpabio represented Tinubu at the project’s commissioning.
“We are very proud of you; the country is proud of you, Mr. Deliver, the honorable minister of FCT, the performing minister, and the game changer,” Akpabio declared.
“No matter how hard you work, only your adversaries will be blind to what you are doing.
“Nyesom Wike, you performed many miracles for the state while serving as governor of Rivers State. Now that you are a minister of the Federal Capital Territory, I’m not sure how to compare the two positions.
You have changed the FCT, so let me say that God will continue to lead you. The FCT has changed, even in terms of administration.
“The FCT now has permanent secretaries, something the previous administration did not have. The previous administration did not have a Head of Service of the Government of the Federal Capital Territory. Thanks to your collaboration with President Tinubu, FCT employees now know that they will not only retire as directors.
